Finance Business Partner - IT

I am happy to be working with a world renowned organisation, based in Guildford, Surrey, whose UK operation has continued to grow naturally and through acquisition. As a result of this growth they have a need for a Finance Business Partner - IT to cover a 1 year secondment of someone whom has moved internally working within the Operations/IT Division. This role will report directly to the Finance Business Partner Manager - IT working within a team of 6.

The Duties:

  • Identify and drive IT cost optimisation and support the delivery of expense savings
  • Extensive stakeholder management with senior IT stakeholders to ensure financial alignment
  • Establish a close working relationship with key technology stakeholders
  • Support for IT specific change activity such as the IT Mandatory Portfolio and Titanium deliveries to ensure robust financials are recognised and included in planning
  • Regular expense projections, short/medium/long term across IT, along with delivery of subsequent key messages to IT team
  • Support the annual expense planning process and PD/SD requirements
  • Working closely with the change finance business partner to support for broader change portfolio as required
  • Assist in establishing best practice across team processes and encourage continuous improvement

The Candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA/Equivalent
  • Experience in managing expense budgets
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
  • Experience in providing support to business management teams
  • Highly numerate with attention to detail, and a thirst for development
  • Well-organised and reliable with strong time management skills
  • Proven ability to consistently meet tight time-scales & deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player, with the ability to work autonomously
