Farrer Barnes is working with a successful and innovative multi-site college. Keen to foster the high levels of academic progress, my client is looking to recruit a Head of Finance to develop the finance function and to contribute to further success, through developing fundraising initiatives and maximisation of revenue generation of the extensive facilities.
As head of the finance team, you will be involved in several interesting projects such as the implementation of a cashless environment, as well as maintaining the operational requirements of the college’s finances. The duties include Financial Planning, Management and Reporting, Accounting and Governance and Budgetary Control, Payroll and Procurement and Contract Management.
A key element of the position will be to ensure that the college meets all of its financial obligations and deadlines, particularly statutory financial statements, audit and financial returns as required by the DfE and the EFA. The position will have a key strategic role in the management of the college and will work closely with the Deputy Principal for Finance & Resources and the Executive Team to ensure its long term financial viability as well as providing guidance to the Governing Body on financial governance, audits and charity accounting matters.
The successful candidate will hold a professional accountancy qualification and would ideally have some understanding of the public/ charity sector.
Farrer Barnes Ltd does not discriminate on the grounds of age, race, gender, disability, creed or sexual orientation and complies with all relevant UK legislation. Farrer Barnes Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
