Finance Manager
Based: Blackburn
Salary: highly dependent on experience, study support/training available, excellent benefits including bonus, social events, flexible working hours (full time) and private healthcare
Our client is a rapidly expanding, award winning business based in the heart of Lancashire. Hugely well-known for their services and products across the UK, they also have a large international presence supplying products to businesses around the world. The business is growing year on year with huge plans for the future so there is fantastic progression opportunities on offer alongside CIMA/ACCA study support if desired.
This position will work closely with the Directors, handling business finances and with a strong focus on process improvements and delivering valuable MI to aid decision making
Experience:
- Reviewing finance department, implementing new processes and procedures to streamline efficiencies
- Implementing processes for business growth to provide useful MI to aid decision making
- Involvement with implementation of new accounting system, training other staff
- Managing a small team of 2 ensuring work is completed on time
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Variance analysis, commentary to support monthly reporting and preparing cash flow
- Revenue forecasting, preparing quarterly VAT returns
- Nominal ledger - monthly journals, accruals, prepayments and employee expenses
- Purchase & sales ledger duties - posting and reconciling
- Working closely with the Directors to aid business growth with financial data
Experience:
- Part qualified/qualified/QBE accountant - study support on offer to become qualified
- Track record and experience in process improvement within a finance team is ESSENTIAL
- Pro-active, commercial and keen to grow in a fast growing business
- A problem solver with the ability to find and provide valuable information
- Excellent IT and Excel skills
