Executive Director - Finance

£competitive

Leicestershire

emh group is one of the largest housing and care service providers in the country, with over 1,100 employees and more than 20,000 homes across 45 local authorities. Our ethos is one of ‘profit for purpose’; our current turnover is around £110m; and we have total assets of over three quarters of a billion pounds. We currently build in the region of 400 new properties each year, and as Executive Director - Finance you will play a vital role in leading an efficient, responsible and well-governed organisation and help grow our capacity to offer the highest quality homes and facilities to our tenants and communities.

This role is central to achieving our ambitions for continued growth and success, taking responsibility for the effective strategic leadership, direction and operational management of all finance, treasury management, procurement and ICT functions within the Group. You’ll develop the financial plan for the Group and its members and ensure that sound financial protocol and procedures underpin a high performing organisation, and that the Group complies with its legal and regulatory requirements. As a member of the Executive management team, you’ll be a visible and influential leader within the organisation, playing an integral part in the delivery of our business plan and embedding cultural change across the group.

We expect that you’ll be a qualified accountant with a track record of strategic financial management, which has included significant treasury management experience. An accomplished leader you’ll understand how to model the vision and values of an organisation in your work, and bring these to life for customers, staff, partners and senior stakeholders. You should already have experience of reporting and advising at Board level, ensuring that decision-making is well-informed and that any risk is identified and managed at all stages. We are keen to hear from candidates who can offer proven business acumen and commercial awareness, but who are motivated by a strong social ethos and the desire to support great outcomes for communities.

This is the ideal role for someone who relishes the opportunity to make a meaningful and evident personal contribution within an organisation that is committed to living up to its ethical values.
