fdu is recruiting an Interim Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a multi-site business with ambitious plans for growth. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) you will be initially tasked with:
- Supporting the CFO with the 2021 budgeting process.
- Implementing meaningful KPI’s to bring a new level of sophistication to the analysis of business performance.
- Establishing dashboards to deliver meaningful metrics to the Senior Management Team.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of the annual budget, five year plan and quarterly reforecasts.
- Supporting asset management planning and other strategic initiatives.
- Cashflow forecasting; reviewing against budget.
- Preparation of monthly analysis of business performance for the Board pack.
- Work with Management to drive new initiatives to improve profitability and performance; delivering analysis of competitor behaviour.
- Update sales forecasts; working with the relevant teams to support new spend and evaluate potential returns.
- Monthly review of performance against budget and determine resultant actions.
- Utilise BI tools to deliver insightful financial and non-financial performance metrics i.e. creating dashboards.
- Analysis of capex and other large spending requests.
- Debt covenant management; reporting to banks and shareholders.
Your profile:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) specialist.
- A demonstrable track record of implementing robust and effective systems and processes which provide clarity and detail to the decision making process.
- Superb communication, presentation and team working skills are essential as is a strong working knowledge of Excel and BI systems in general.
- Able to operate in a hands on manner, you must be someone who gets things done.
