Finance Manager

Accountancy Recruit are partnering with a social enterprise based in Manchester to appoint a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will manage the day to day running of the finance function across the business, working with external accountants. Our client runs various health and wellbeing contracts alongside a number of social businesses. This role would suit a Senior Management Accountant ready to move into a more senior position or an experienced Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Manage the relationship with external accountants.
• Mentor a finance assistant.
• Ensure monthly financial data is up to date and prepare monthly reports.
• Manage process to effectively collect aged debt.
• Process invoices.
• Review and check reconciliations.
• Compile monthly payroll information for the external payroll provider.
• Produce year end accounts.
• Oversee and ensure compliance.
• Review financial controls and implement operational efficiencies.
• Deal with internal and external queries relating to finance.
• Oversee payment processes including bank transfers and BACS payments.

In order to be successful in this role the Finance Manager will have the following experience:

• AAT qualified.
• Experience of using Quickbooks.
• 3 years experience in a similar position.
