The Role

As an integral member of the Development team, the Business Growth and Funding Officer is responsible for providing a professional and proactive service, focusing on new business appraisals, tendering and proposal preparation.

With the key aim to win new business opportunities, you will also research, monitor and submit opportunities to access grant funding to support their work. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Development and Growth, you will provide knowledge, support and advice of your business area.

This role is based on 22 hours per week, but requires flexibility depending on workload.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a role that includes tendering, bidding or winning work, and be able to demonstrate their ability to work collaboratively with Directors and Leaders, and to tight deadlines.

The Business Growth and Funding Officer will ideally:

Have experience of accessing grant funding, with knowledge of funding bodies and organisations
Have experience of bid and tendering processes
Have knowledge of costing or financial appraisal
Have an understanding of Housing Association/not-for-profit/charitable sectors
