Financial Controller - Growing SME

A UK wide retail group based in York currently requires an experienced Financial Controller to join their business at a very exciting point in the organisations expansion.

Working directly with the Managing Director you will play a key part in the company's growth having full commercial exposure across the group. You will identify, evaluate and (where needed) improve existing financial processes and controls. You will have full responsibility for the management of the accounts team assigning duties in line with your assessment of their skills sets. As well as this you will ensure communication with senior stake holders across the business advising on current financial position and projected performance. A large part of the role will also entail presenting current and projected financial position to both internal and external parties playing a key part in commercial decisions within the business.


Ideally you will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with previous experience within either a Finance Manager/Financial Controller position. Knowledge of and exposure to multi-site SME organisations would be advantageous but not essential.
