The Role
As the Senior Credit Controller, you will ensure the delivery of timely, accurate and professional support to stakeholders in the areas of claims payment, the collection of premiums and financial management reporting.
Overseeing the work of a team of Credit Controllers, you will:
- Ensure that premiums are collected in line with the company’s credit control procedures
- Contribute to the recruitment and selection of team members
- Make sure that any unmatched cash is reconciled and cleared in a timely manner
- Respond to correspondence and enquiries received in the Finance Department
- Liaise with underwriters and brokers
- Prepare and produce a range of reports
- Deputise for the Finance Manager in their absence
About You
To be considered as a Senior Credit Controller, you will need:
- Previous credit control experience
- Working knowledge of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)
- Comfort with, and the ability to quickly learn and navigate complex internal IT systems
- A background in insurance
- Proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, both face to face and over the phone
