Manufacturing Accountant - Goole

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently supporting one of the UK's leading manufacturing businesses to recruit a Manufacturing Accountant for their site in Goole.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Finance Manager, this role is to be the main financial support for the manufacturing site. You will provide key financial information, enabling the business to track progress against divisional targets and make better informed decisions. This will include all aspects of financial support from period end reporting to providing detailed analysis of variances and trend analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsibility for the manufacturing cost centres - complete period end journals to ensure the P&L is accurate
- Act as the key contact/support for operational managers by providing accurate and user-friendly reporting and ad-hoc analysis
- Review, analyse and issue weekly flash reports for labour and material usage for the site
- Prepare operational budgets & forecasts for the different cost centres
- Product costing - to include the preparation of cost estimates as well as maintaining the standard product costs within SAP
- Provide financial training and awareness to colleagues all levels of the Operation
- Ad-Hoc project work
- Deputise for Manufacturing Finance Manager when required
