Interim Head of Finance

A well-established, European, PE backed manufacturing business with a strong export market is looking for an interim Head of Finance to join for a 9-12 month contract. Reporting to the parent company head office and with a dotted line to the UK Managing Director, you will have 3 direct reports and be responsible for the effective running of the UK finance function. Offered on a full-time basis, this role has potential to go permanent.

Your New Role

The interim Head of Finance will have wide ranging responsibilities including:

• Monthly Management Accounts Preparation;
• Daily and Monthly bank cash flow;
• Ensuring that IT systems are correctly reconciled (use of Alvante and/or Navision is useful, but not essential);
• Preparation of customer rebate accruals and update sales report;
• Foreign exchange contracts;
• Ensuring credit checks / insurance are completed on new and existing customers;
• Preparation of the Annual Corporate Tax return;
• Ownership of key relationships with the bank, HMRC, auditors, tax advisors and insurers;
• Management of the pension scheme;
• Various HR responsibilities including payroll; and
• Ad hoc projects – e.g. margin analysis.

About You

• The ability to take overall financial responsibility for the business

Salary

On offer for the interim Head of Finance will be a competitive pro rata salary equivalent to £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus competitive benefits.
