Rent Accountant / Financial Accountant (Rents)

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Rent Accountant to provide support and assistance to their Rent and Service Charge Manager.
What you will be doing:
- Effectively analysing rents and setting rents for all re-let properties.
- Providing rents for our social stock, checking shared ownership rents and answering queries from both internal and external customers.
- Providing specialist support and technical advice (with respect to the Regulator’s rent standard, and individual lease and rental agreements) to residents and the organisation.
- Ensuring that rental income is maximised and that our annual rent review is compliant.
- Utilising data analytics to uncover inconsistencies in rents and challenging operational services and processes.
They’d love to meet someone with:
- Previous experience working in rent accounting or a relevant post within social housing.
- Experience of rent setting and review for a range of products/tenures.
- Meticulous numeracy skills and the ability to understand, analyse and manipulate information and data.
- Good communication skills both verbally and written.
- Excellent IT skills with proven ability to use Finance Systems and Microsoft applications.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to actively seek and find solutions to problems.
