Financial Controller

Our client is a successful innovative pharmaceutical company developing innovative technology that will assist millions of patients worldwide.

To support their growth, they are now looking for an experienced Financial Controller to manage a small finance team and maintain the companies three legal entities. This 6-month contract will report to the CFO with duties to include

• Consolidation of the company group and producing the monthly management reporting pack
• Liaise monthly with cost centre and project managers to review status
• Prepare and file year end statutory accounts and annual financial audit
• Ensuring robust financial system and processes (SAP)
• Supporting the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts and five-year business plans
• Managing the R&D expenses accounting model by project and analysis
• Supervise the preparation of month end accounts for three legal entities and VAT returns
• Liaise with tax advisors, prepare and file corporation tax returns including RDEC claims.

You will be fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA and have knowledge and experience of SAP (pre-4Hana version). With R&D management accounting experience preferably in a similar industry.

You will need to be used to working in a fast moving and flexible environment. An excellent communicator especially to non-finance staff, building relationships with the team who are mostly academics and scientists.

An approachable person ideally with corporate experience and strong business acumen who is used to working in a fast-paced environment.
