Finance Operations Manager
£45,000 - £50,000, Bonus, Pension plus Benefits

A dynamic and growing retail business is looking for an Operations focussed Finance Manager who will be reporting to the Operations Financial Controller to join their rapidly growing team. A newly created role to the business means there will a bit of evolution, which makes this an exciting time to join this progressive organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all customer distributions and proactively report back to the Financial Controller.
  • Attend all weekly specialist meetings for all customer distributions
  • Effective planning and scheduling of each royalty payment to each client, producing timelines and impact analysis
  • Conducting attentive quality assurance (QA) checks on all customer distributions
  • Optimisation and streamlining of internal distribution processes, procedures and systems to ensure the team are working effectively and within a control focussed environment.
  • Deputise for FD when required to discuss performance with stakeholders
  • Responsible for ensuring distribution queries are responded to promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor the balance sheet ensuring Royalties schedules are adhered to
  • Improving the delivery and assurance processes
  • Investigating and validating the reasons for discrepancies e. Volume discounts, Commission rates, bespoke manual requirements, taxes.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
  • Qualified Accountant with significant post qualification experience (3-5 years)
  • Demonstrable experience in an Operational Finance Role
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, including implementing strong processes and controls
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management Skills
  • Project Management Experience
  • Problem solver, strong team player and works well in a pressurised environment
  • Confident and personal nature
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
