A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant where you will get the opportunity to play an instrumental role in shaping the finance team throughout a period of significant growth (Turnover forecast to grow from c.£150m to c.£350m in next 3 years!)
This position will be working very closely with the Finance Controller and Finance Director to deliver key business projects.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of accurate monthly consolidated management accounts on a timely basis
- Responsible for overseeing the team to ensure that tasks are completed accurately and in line with the month end timetable
- Responsibility for the annual audit and preparing the statutory accounts
- Management and coaching of finance team members
- Responsible for reviewing monthly payroll
- Working closely with the marketing team to ensure rigorous control of significant marketing budget (c.£1m per month)
- Monthly balance sheet reviews to ensure team prepare detailed reconciliations
- Work with the financial controller and finance director to produce accurate forecasts and business plans
- Assisting the financial controller and finance director with providing financial information to the business and completing ad-hoc financial and business projects

Required experience
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
- Experience of managing a team and developing colleagues

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Able to prioritise work based on deadlines and importance
- Strong personal drive
