Interim Head of Commercial Finance

Partner Financial are working with a leading hospitality business to source an experienced Interim Head of Commercial Finance for 12 months on a fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Finance Director and leading a team of three you will support the Marketing and Retail Directors with first-class analytical skills, business partnering and commercial insight.

Key responsibilities: 

• Take ownership of sales trading forecast highlighting risks and opportunities whilst making recommendations to drive sales and profit margin;
• Managing, coaching and mentoring a team of 3 Commercial Finance Business Partners;
• Leading menu pricing decision support and making recommendations;
• Promotional strategy finance lead working with Commercial, Brand and Marketing teams to have an effective promotional toolkit in place;
• Supporting the Food and Innovation strategy pipeline including pricing and costings, whilst making recommendations;
• Take ownership of Sales, Retail & Marketing spend financial planning process; both budgets and ongoing forecasts;
• Investor pack and board pack insight on a periodic and quarterly basis.

The successful candidate will have: 

• Demonstrable post qualified, commercial finance experience gained in a fast-paced hospitality, leisure, restaurant business;
• Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders;
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to dive into the detail when needed;
• Strong people and leadership skills, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively at all levels 
• Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills
