A successful manufacturing business is looking to hire an experienced Credit Controller to head up its team. Based in Doncaster, the Credit Control Manager will be offered a full-time, permanent role.
What will you be doing?
As the new Credit Control Manager, you will determine, develop and implement credit management into the business, ensuring that its revenue and income streams are administered to its advantage. Key duties will include:
- Managing a small team of credit controllers.
- Ensuring and maintaining efficient and relevant credit control and credit management controls appropriate both for the company and the interfaces with its customers.
- Where disputes and points for clarification arise, instigating a process of negotiation to achieve settlements and ongoing adherence to company policies.
- In conjunction with the Credit Control Process Manager, constantly reviewing sales ledger processes to ensure that they are optimised to their full potential.
- Determining with the Commercial department the criteria and setting of credit limits for new and existing customers.
- Having regular contact with all customers through site visits, written and verbal communications, focusing on customers where there are issues with debt collection.
- Having specific contact with external auditors on sales ledger issues.
- Managing internal stakeholders - such as Relationship Managers and Director levels - updating them on debtors, poor payers and risks to the business.
What do you need?
Successful applications to this Credit Control Manager role will demonstrate:
- 5 years' experience in a large sales ledger (over £100m turnover) environment.
- Knowledge of a range of computerised sales ledger systems.
- Team leadership and management skills.
- The maturity, experience and strength of character to negotiate.
- Experience revising and changing processes for more efficient outputs.
