Financial Controller

We are currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller for our Exeter based client. This position would suit a strong FC or an experienced Finance Manager looking to take the next step.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Production & presentation of monthly management accounts including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Production of monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules. Analysing month and year to date performance, reporting on variances to budget and forecast.
• Preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts in collaboration with budget holders and senior management. Contributing to the medium-term business plan.
• Provide a high-quality support service by working with all departments and the management team on a wide range of business issues and projects to inform suitable finance decisions.
• Effective cash flow monitoring and management, and the oversight of credit control activity.
• Preparation of the year-end financial statements, preparing the audit file and assuming the role of the onsite audit lead.
• Submission of financial information to Group Finance including financial performance, budget, forecast and tax data.
• Identify and make recommendations to the financial reporting process.

The successful candidate will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and have proven experience of leading a finance team in a fast paced environment.
