Really excited to be working with a manufacturing client in Bradford!

Role Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring all financial and management transactions/insight is recorded in an accurate and timely fashion, monthly/weekly/daily reporting and helping to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Accountabilities:

  • Production of daily/weekly and monthly management information on a timely and accurate basis
  • Providing meaningful commentary on the variances to budget and on trend, highlighting potential risks and opportunities in the numbers
  • Approving spends and ensuring budgetary control across the site
  • Preparing costing's for new products, reviewing bill of materials
  • Investigating variances and providing solutions/process implementation to resolve any ongoing issues
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Full balance sheet reconciliations for the month end reporting pack and resolution of any variances within the following month
  • Assisting in the preparation of the year-end audit file and liaising with both the internal and external auditors
  • Supporting projects around stock accuracy and refining the stock process to eradicate stock discrepancies within the ERP system
  • Managing one member of staff responsible for Credit Control and Accounts Payable

Skills/Experience:

  • Accounting qualification required (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) - part qualified can be reviewed for the right candidate
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, IF formulas, SUM Ifs, V Lookups and Pivot tables as minimum
  • People managing or mentoring experience is a plus
  • Ideally would have had purchase ledger experience but not essential
  • Manufacturing experience is preferable
  • Be comfortable offering both support and challenging the site leadership team
  • A "hands on" approach
  • Comfortable designing and implementing new processes and procedures
