Financial Controller for Ascot based business

Your new company
My client is a growing distribution business based in Ascot who are looking to recruit a qualified Financial Controller to manage a team of 2 Management Accountants. This role is not accessible by public transport but does have ample onsite parking. The chosen candidate must have proven experience in a similar position.

Your new role

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts along with submission to Group to deadlines
• Identification, investigation and explanation of key variances in performance
• Transaction authoriser
• Ensure compliance with legal bodies (HMRC, ROS)
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable to ensure accurate postings
• Keeping up to date with changes to accounting standards and tax legislation
• Take on delegated authority and responsibilities from Director Controlling when required
• Management of the external audit process
• Oversight of all statutory and legal returns
• Development of Finance IT Systems and processes
• Finance and Company Project work as and when required

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience in a similar role
• Experience in SAP desirable
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
• Minimum of 2 years management experience
• Critical thinking and analytical thinking
