Group Financial Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a successful and continually expanding Private Equity Backed business in Rotherham as they look to bring on a technically astute Group Financial Accountant for their Head office location. This a newly created role to support the Financial Controller in providing comprehensive financial reporting and compliance across the entire group.

The purpose of this role is to provide effective financial support to the group and its various entities in terms of statutory accounts, tax provision and any related analysis.

A varied role with duties & responsibilities to include: -

*Prepare year end accounts for the Group and its subsidiaries
*Align monthly management accounts to statutory accounts
*Maintain a lease database to ensure accurate IFRS16 reporting
*Carry out year end compliance tasks
*Liaise with appropriate advisors, primarily auditors and tax consultants
*Tax compliance matters
*Review completed balance sheet reconciliations and support resolution of balances
*Carry out monthly analysis tasks to support management information

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: -

*ACA or ACCA qualified
*Experience of consolidations and group accounting in practice
*Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
*Strong problem solving and analytical skills
*High level of Excel competency
*A strong organiser able to multitask and prioritise
