Financial Controller | Epsom Surrey | £70,000 - £75,000 | Business Services
A Private Equity backed international services business operating in the aviation sector is recruiting a Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the CFO and leading a small team you will play a key role in driving business performance through owning and improving high quality financial reporting, control and management accounting.
You will deliver a successful month end, statutory accounting and year end. You will act as the point of contact for the auditors and other third parties. You will play a key role in any vendor due dilligence or other corporate activity. You will also lead the financial planning budgeting and forecasting processes. You will contribute to operational decisions ensuring that financial risks have been raised and understood.
Your key responsibilities will include developing a finance function and providing consistent first-class financial support. This will involve end to end delivery and ownership of accurate, timely, relevant reporting and accounting information; producing high quality budgeting, forecasting, investor reporting and cash flow forecasting; delivery of month end and the monthly reporting pack; and ensuring a robust and future proof financial control environment and adapting and improving controls as the business grows.
You will take responsibility for the existence of appropriate financial systems and ensure integrity of figures and continuous improvement e.g. AP / AR processes, billing, and accounting systems. Due to the nature of this role you will be involved in various ad hoc projects and analysis e.g. business cases, evaluate investment decisions and project accounting.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) who is up to date technically. You will demonstrate the ability to build credible relationships with colleagues and third parties. You will have previous experience of leading financial controls and processes and understand the finance and accounting needs of a business.
This role will pay a generous basic salary of £70 – 75,000 plus bonus.
