Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and growing Legal Firm in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Management Accountant. An exciting and newly created role reporting directly into the Finance Manager where you will be involved in the accounting processes for the Group and its subsidiaries. This position will best suit an accounts professional who is from a Legal or Professional Services Background. Offering both work from home and office working within a business that really cares about its employees.

Your new role

Supporting the Finance Manager your key duties will include production of consolidated Management Accounts with supporting variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting on actual spend vs budget, intercompany reconciliations and recharges. You will ensure all balance sheet control accounts are maintained, production of VAT returns and EC sales list along with overseeing suppliers' ledgers. You will assist with month-end close, support with annual audit, be involved in various projects to support senior management and assist in process/system improvements.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this exciting permanent Management Accountant role you will have experience within a similar position, key MS Excel skills and strong communication skills to build relationships at all levels. You will be from a Legal or Professional Services background with strong business acumen and an analytical mind. It would be advantageous if you have experience in Sage, Aderant and Chrome River systems along with process improvement skills and knowledge of consolidating groups.

This hands-on Management Accountant role is offering a salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum dependable on experience based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
