Group Financial Accountant

A Group Financial Accountant is required to join leading manufacturer Doncasters for a full-time, permanent role in Burton.

With 240 years of experience, this fast-moving group is constantly developing its broad range of products and processes to best serve the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, specialist automotive and petrochemical markets. Doncasters global revenues are over £250 million, employing over 1,500 staff worldwide and their group head office is based in Burton-Upon-Trent.
Following a recent successful restructure and appointment of a new Group CFO, the organisation is looking for a Qualified Financial Accountant to join the existing finance team of 11. The successful candidate will be a technically strong accountant with a wealth of experience in IFRS and Group consolidation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the timely completion of all Group statutory reporting. As Group Financial Accountant, your primary focus will be to consolidate group accounts under IFRS whilst preparing individual UK subsidiary statutory accounts under FRS 102.
Alongside this, you will also be responsible for the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for corporate entities whilst supporting the wider finance team through the implementation of more effective processes. This is a key role within the business and a great opportunity to establish a position of reliability and trust with the CFO, Group FC and Group Finance Manager through the delivery of accurate and timely information when needed, whilst ensuring reporting is compliant and in line with regulations.
What You'll Need to Succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified Financial Accountant (ACCA/ACA) who demonstrates:
- Post qualification experience within financial reporting
- Exceptional working knowledge of IFRS from working within a large organisation or managing large corporate accounts within practice
- Industry-specific experience is not essential
