Senior Financial Accountant

My client is an exciting, busy entity who are entering the next stage of their growth. They are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant into this small, UK/European head office with the view to preparing for the future activity across the EMEA region.

This role will be responsible for managing all statutory reporting, working with and preparing for all audit activity, tax and month-end. You will work with a part-qualified accountant and report to a Financial Controller and as a team, you will look after all accounting activities for the EMEA region. You will support individual country Finance Managers or work closely with external auditors for each individual territory.

This is a hands-on role due to the structure of the team and the client is looking for somebody who can deal with end-to-end accounts, but also grow and develop in line with their future ambitions. Duties include:

Review reconciliations and journalsPreparing balance sheetsPrepare UK and EU monthly management accountsStatutory accounts preparationVAT

You will be a qualified accountant with the ability to work autonomously and operate as part of a small team. You will ideally have worked on international entities and have a good degree of statutory and financial accounting experience. You will be happy with the hands-on nature of the task but also have the ability to deal with technical accounting issues.
