Our client is a market leading Natural Resources business who are seeking to add a recently qualified accountant to their London Head Office team.

With established operations in 3 continents they have weathered the issues with COVID this year and are seeking a strong ACA qualified accountant to join owing to an internal promotion.

The role is ideal for someone looking to make their first move from a Big 4 or mid tier accountancy practice or who has 1-2 years in industry in a similar role.

Interviews will occur remotely and all will happen in November and our client offers genuinely unrivalled career progression and have an outstanding support network with the finance team all have backgrounds in practice.

The Group finance team here is responsible for producing consolidated group monthly accounts for actual, budget and forecast scenarios. The team is also responsible for the production of consolidated statutory results for incorporation into the interim and year end press releases and statutory financial statements.

You will also be involved in managing the audit committee and external audit process, as well as playing an advisory and training role for the finance community across the group. This advisory and oversight role is set to expand as the business evolves.

The Financial Reporting Accountant will be part of a team of 4 and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the on-time reporting of high quality financial data. The individual will be accountable for the accurate reporting of consolidated financial data for allocated business units, and for preparing and analysing consolidated information for monthly and quarterly reporting.

You will ensure that data is presented accurately and that any accounting issues are identified, understood and resolved on a timely basis through detailed planning and process management.

The Financial Reporting Accountant will provide insightful analysis and commentary for senior management. It is therefore vital to form strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and finance teams across the business. In addition the individual will take responsibility for the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in financial reporting and for liaising with external auditors

If you are ACA qualified with experience of group consolidation and technical accounting matters and a sound knowledge of IFRS, ideally with Energy or Natural Resources clients, then this role would be an ideal position.
