Experienced Group Management Accountant required, starting package up to £40,000 plus discretionary bonus and additional benefits. 

Outstanding opportunity to join an established, independent and highly respected professional service provider based in Leeds City Centre. With offices in Leeds, Manchester and London, they serve a range of UK and multi international organisations with an ambitious acquisition plan in place. 

The Group Management Accountant reports into the Finance Director and has 2 direct reports within the Group’s finance function. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Monthly management accounts preparation for three companies and a group consolidation
  • Assisting with budget preparation and forecasting
  • Reconciling and perform month end reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Producing and posting monthly journals
  • Preparing information for annual corporation tax schedules
  • Producing monthly and quarterly vat returns/reconciliations
  • Assisting with statutory audits and audit information
  • Processing two salary payrolls and prepare and posting salary journals
  • Responsible for managing the operation of the pension scheme
  • VAT returns
  • Corporation tax
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Acquisition programme

  • Company embarking on rapid organic and acquisitive growth
  • Opportunity to develop corporate finance / transaction services experience during the deal process
  • Responsible for forecasting and analysis during the acquisition process
  • To investigate the historical financials of companies and to work with existing management on new forecasting for each proposal
  • Able to handle multiple proposals at any one time
  • To assist with integrating the accounting function of acquired businesses into the Group

  • Ideally be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with industry experience 
  • Strategic and commercial thinker 
  • Team orientated
  • Strong attention to detail that can support a communication that inspires confidence
  • Strong Excel skills are essential
  • Sage Line 50 experience an advantage
