Assistant Accountant

Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with an outstanding business in Sheffield who experience consistent growth, in sourcing an Assistant Accountant position to support the wider finance team. The business have a strong presence in the marketplace, and are looking to recruit an ambitious individual, working closely with the Finance team in preparing the month end accounts and taking on further responsibility within the Finance team.

This role highlights a great opportunity and chance to grow/progress with a reputable business and will require excellent interpersonal skills, working closely with Finance and Non-Finance professionals.

Main Responsibilities include:

*Assisting weekly management accounts
*Assisting Month End - accruals and prepayments
*Invoice queries
*Payment Runs
*Processing expenses
*Managing Suppliers
*Supplier statement reconciliations
*Bank Reconciliations
*VAT and Intrastat
*Assist with the audit
*Balance sheet reconciliations
