Paul Mitchell Associates are currently recruiting for a highly successful SME business in Leicester. Our client is seeking a Financial Controller (Part time) to head up the finance function and provide support to the Managing Director.

The successful candidate will be a part or fully qualified accountant, (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or AAT) but our client will also consider a QBE candidate. You will possess solid experience having previously worked in an Owner Managed Business environment, and you will be able to take on a "hands-on" varied role. This role would suit an individual who really wants to make a difference in a business and help mentor and develop the accounts team.

The position requires a Part-Time Financial Controller who can manage all accounting and financial matters. (Flexible Hours-Ideally 3 full days or perhaps 4- or 5-part days).

Duties include:

Production of monthly management accounts
Annual Statutory Accounts
Cash flow forecasts
Overseeing payroll
Pension administration
VAT returns
Balance sheet reconciliation
Profit & Loss analysis
Variance analysis
Liaison with auditors with regard to year-end accounts and other matters that arise throughout the year

Essential Skills required

To have a high level of knowledge in accounting systems including Sage
Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Be I. literate with experience of integrating new systems and the ability to problem solve
Possess Goof communication skills.
Must be a good team member
