Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Analyst (Group Stock) for a leading manufacturing business, located near Goole.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Category and Supply Planning teams to:
- Deliver improvements to the Group's stock turnover
- Drive significant reductions in the cost of stock write-off
- Accurately calculate and report the balance sheet stock provision for Group
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of stock budgets by Category
- Ensure the Group stock provision is accounted for accurately
- Assess the stock provision utilisation, identifying key drivers of write-off and appropriate actions that need to be taken
- Identify reasons for excess stock and track actions taken to remedy this
- Support, challenge and drive end of life activities to minimise stock disposal
- Inform category of product introductions/discontinuations highlighting cost of change, impact on capacity etc
- Develop stock KPIs and reporting to highlight stock risks and opportunities
The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling the Group to drive improvements to stock turnover, stock write-off and supply chain efficiency, which will lead to an increase in profit. They will also be responsible for providing accurate reporting to the Supply Chain and Business Planning leadership team, and will need to be able to present the numbers as well as answer questions on the results.
Key Skills / Experience:
- Fully qualified Accountant
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills
