Treasury Analyst - Permanent Role - Full-Time/Part-time - Remote/Office Working - Cheltenham,Gloucestershire

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and well-established international Group to recruit for a dynamic and driven Treasury Analyst (Full-time or Part-time). A permanent and newly created position based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire offering remote and office working. Reporting into the Group Head Of Treasury, you will be supporting the business globally in producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and maintain a high standard of service offered to the Group. You may currently be working in a mainstream finance role and keen to move into the treasury area or have experienced treasury operations and keen to progress yourself in a larger, fast-growing organisation.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve operational banking processes including calculation of payments such as bond interests and settling foreign exchange, maintenance of bank relationships including creation of required documentation and bank mandates, along with day to day cash management. You will be involved in cash deposits, money market funds and maintenance of the Group's cash capabilities, along with designation of routine hedge accounting. You will assist in improving Group treasury systems, support the Group's FX hedging programme, prepare treasury specific reports such as Cash and Headroom reporting, along with assisting in various projects and investigations as required to help meet objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this exciting and newly created Treasury Analyst role you will ideally have experience within a similar position or want to make a move into a Treasury focused position. You will have experience of operational banking and cash management, an understanding of foreign exchange along with an awareness of hedge accounting. You will be trained in a range of treasury management systems with strong MS Excel skills and key communication ability. You will work well under pressure and to tight deadlines along with being self-reliant and determined to learn. It would be advantageous but not essential if you are a part-qualified accountant or ACT (association of corporate treasurers), with experience in an PLC corporate treasury environment.
