Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a Legal Cashier on behalf of a leading, prestigious legal firm. The role is on a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract and would ideally suit someone who is passionate about their career and eager to become a key part of a busy accounts team. The business has an excellent reputation in their field and is keen to appoint a dynamic, forward thinking individual to join the team.
Duties will include:
- Daily input of all financial transactions in a prompt and accurate manner
- Processing high volumes of telegraphic transfers
- Full processing of all other payments, receipts and transfers on a daily basis
- Carrying out balancing procedures at the end of each day
- Daily banking
- Processing the daily automatic cheque run
- Maintaining VAT records
- Processing debit and credit card transactions
- Checking and processing bills
- Petty cash payments
- Assisting with the Purchase Ledger as required
- All aspects of query resolution including assisting colleagues with account queries
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Legal Cashier within the legal sector
- Precise and accurate keyboard skills including the ability to type at 40+ words per minute
- Knowledge of law and legal procedures / legislation
