Management Accountant - Leicestershire
SALARY £25,000 to £35,000 plus study support
Our client, a highly successful service sector company, is seeking an ambitious Management Accountant.
ROLE PURPOSE
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be:
*Responsible for working with company management to help them make upper level management decisions.
*Help management use financial information to inform business strategy.
*Relay information from the accounting department to the management team.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
*Produce accurate monthly management accounts on a timely basis, including consolidated accounts (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow statement.
*Produce weekly gross margin reporting, providing comprehensive analysis and insight to explain variances.
*Prepare budget variance reports, including interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
*Analyse information and deliver insight to the business
*Cashflow forecasting and analysis
*File quarterly VAT submissions
*Liaise with the external accountants and support the year end audit process.
* Supervise and mentor AAT staff
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
*Part-qualified or qualified ACCA or CIMA.
*Previous management accounting experience.
*Highly results orientated
*An attention to detail and desire to get it right, first time
*Organised and methodical approach to working under tight deadlines
*Flexible and driven
*Customer focused
*Problem solving ability, detail orientated and ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
*Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and Sage accounts 50)
