Group Accountant

I have an exciting opportunity for a qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent Group Accountant to join a well -stablished Yorkshire based PLC on an initial fixed term contract to start December ideally, with a view to this becoming a permanent appointment in 2021. The business is currently experiencing an exciting period of change meaning there is real potential for the longer term development of this role. This role sits in central finance and reports into the Group FC, The key responsibilities of the role include:
*PLC reporting, group management accounts and Group consolidations
*Management of budgets and associated reporting providing business partner support to budget holders across the business
*profit forecasting
*Ad hoc analysis and variance reporting
*Assisting with preparation of year end statutory accounts and year end reporting pack
*Preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts
*Assisting with group Tax, Treasury, VAT and dealing with HMRC
*Continual review of policies and procedures to ensure effective and robust reporting is produced in a timely manner
Ad hoc duties include but are not limited to: projects, due diligence, integrations, systems development, treasury and company secretarial

This role requires an individual who can demonstrate strong technical accounting, very good systems in particular excel and excellent communication skills along with a commercial mindset and strong team focus.
