Based: Alderley Edge area

Salary: highly dependent on experience, opportunity to work closely with the board, sit as part of the SMT and progress quickly in a fast-moving business.

Our client is a rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial tech business based in the heart of Cheshire. The business was established over 10 years ago and is currently working with investors to launch their product/service even wider. Working with a forward-thinking, dynamic CEO and board this opportunity will give a range of exposure within a progressive business offering opportunities to become Finance Director in years to come.

We are looking for a qualified Accountant with a passion for technology who is able to communicate at board level with the ability to liaise and work closely with external investors. With an entrepreneurial CEO, you must be highly adaptable and confident in your ability to assist the board with business growth, offering sound financial advice to assist in moving the company to the next stage

Role:

• Part of the senior leadership team playing a key role in decision making, present in board meetings
• Working closely with the board, CEO and investors to ensure business growth
• Contribute to the development of the company strategy, challenging assumptions with facts and decision making as appropriate, reporting financials to the board
• Manage and build respected relationships with partners, clients, contacts and all team members
• Growing the finance department over the next 6-12 months including recruitment
• Creating and implementing new financial processes to streamline efficiencies and compliment business growth plans
• Producing monthly management accounts, board pack, month end reports and reconciliations
• Monitoring cash flow, accounts and all financial transactions
• Setting the annual budget and responsibility for overseeing and managing annually
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies
• Hands on approach to accounts ensuring all aspects of month end are completed timely

Experience:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
• A passion for technology and the desire to progress your career quickly
• Adaptable, commercial and capable of working at board level
• Strong communication skills to liaise with the board and investors
• Experience in a business dealing with investors highly beneficial but not essential

This position is set to develop to Finance Director in the next couple of years as the company continues to grow therefore this position would suit a driven, highly ambitious candidate
