- Managing variances, support through analysis and management accounting
- Suppoorting on key tasks through daily weekly and monthly reporting

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Managing Operational Variance end to end:
- full understanding and development of financial calculation models as needed
- management of process including co-ordination with stakeholders
- Review and governance of processes & workings to ensure robustness
- Resolving queries
- Analysis of results and related underlying data as required, providing insight into operational variances and issues
- Presentation, communication & partnering as required
- Reconciliation to financial accounts
- Continuous review & development of Operational Variance reporting for improvement of insight, accuracy, process efficiency and presentation
- Report to agreed weekly & monthly deadlines
- Contribute insight and KPI reporting on variances including weekly P&L review and input into Operations Finance reporting packs
- Support with other Operations reporting and data analysis, financial & non-financial
- Ownership of selected Operations overheads cost centres, to include month end management accounting, commentary and communication with budget holders as required. Assist with quarterly forecasting for overheads and annual budget.
- Balance sheet reconciliations as required for Operational accounts
- Understand and assist with management of standard costs for materials and finished goods in M3 system; ensuring accuracy, availability and timeliness through any product changes.
- Support with Finance related Local Master Data as required e. change control and finance costings input
- Annual budget support, particularly with regard to provision of standard cost elements for Materials & Labour and relevant overheads as above
- Holiday/absence cover for key finance tasks within team as required, specifically cover for all aspects of weekly variance reporting.
- Support to Operations Finance team lead from time to time as required e. ad-hoc projects
Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Financial/Management Accounting background, preferably in a similar Operational Finance role
- Currently studying towards finance qualification CIMA/ACCA
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical & process minded with ability to organize & manipulate large data sets
- Strong IT skills, specifically Excel
- Ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively
- Clear, concise presentation and communication skills
Desirable:
- Previous experience of M3 or ERP system
- Prior knowledge gained in Operations environment, ideally within FMCG or food industry
- Microsoft BI experience
