Based in Central London, MRK Associates are exclusively working with a hugely exciting Fintech business who are looking for a qualified accountant to join them as Head of Commercial Finance.

This job would suit an ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA qualified commercial accountant to be responsible for the development of the commercial finance function including financial planning, business modelling, product costing and pricing strategy.

The client is a recent start-up that has gone through its 2nd successful fund raising to ensure it can maintain its impressive growth curve that has seen it reach over £45M turnover already. With ambitious plans to reach £300M t/o in the next 5 years, there are huge opportunities for the future as the business expands.

The successful individual will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with experience leading and developing a commercial finance function. It is essential that you will have experience of unit economics analysis and it is most likely this will have been within a SaaS or similar business - you will not be considered without experience of this. It will be critical that you have assessed your company's business model to understand the product costs, margins and ROI per customer and modelled different scenarios. You will be a strong communicator working across Finance and Product (as well as other departments) and should be comfortable liaising with the SMT.

Duties:

Own the budgeting and re-forecasting cycles and the long-term business planningAnalysis of business models to understand products costs, revenues and ROI per customer and unitDriving business understanding of margins and product pricing in line with different business modelsWorking with sales and commercial teams to improve pricing of products and servicesCoordinate and manage weekly MI process to provide key performance insight to businessAnalysis of business performance, highlighting key risks and opportunities
