Your new company
This organisation are a family run business and operate within construction. They have a growing turnover and are currently running at pre-covid levels on target to grow by 2 million YOY. This is a senior appointment for them as a business, and you will report into the FD and be expected to hit the ground running. This Management Accountant job is exclusive to Hays.
Your new role
This Management Accountant job will be responsible for producing the management accounts on a monthly basis using Sage Line 50, analysing the data and interpreting accordingly, making recommendations to Directors. You'll also manage the nominal ledger, process Payroll and pay related costs such as pensions, manage the transactional accounts staff, and support in financial related decisions e. purchasing.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified CIMA or ACCA or studying towards, or qualified by experience, you must have experience operating in a similar role, within an SME environment as Finance Manager / Management Accountant as you will be expected to hit the ground running. You must have a natural flair for problem solving as you will be expected to make system recommendations and identify inaccuracies as they arise. A confident manager you should be able to recognise training needs within the team, including self-development with the confidence to clearly discuss financial information with a commercial mindset to drive the business forward and continue to grow the profit line and business as a whole.
