Your new role
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our client in Doncaster. Your role will be to handle all day to day responsibilities within finance:-

• Responsible for weekly accounts preparation
• Explain cost variances with commentary
• Support with annual Budgets and Forecasts process.
• Ownership of Balance Sheet
• Responsibility for areas of purchasing including PO requisitions and receipting.
• Report and monitor key performance indicators.
• Responsible for month end reconciliation processing ensuring tight deadlines are met.
• Prepare weekly payroll ledger postings and carry out weekly / period payroll reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate journal postings got on to the ledgers.
• Supporting the accountant in developing reporting models for P&L's, Stats and KPI's
• Work with Credit control to ensure invoicing and debt collection is accurate and timely

What you'll need to succeed

• Studying towards ACCA or CIMA qualification
• You will naturally be self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work accurately under pressure
• It would help your application immensely if you have experience in a logistic or a manufacturing background in a fast-paced environment
• Confident on excel (basics of VLOOKUP's, Pivot tables, SUMIFS)
