FP&A Manager - Fitness & Leisure

My client, a household name in the leisure industry is looking for an FP&A manager to join their team on a temp to perm on an initial 6 month contract. ACA Qualified and Multi-site experience are a must.

The Role and its purpose:

To lead financial planning processes across the business, and manage consolidation of corporate planning and reporting for the board

  • Take responsibility for the planning, management and delivery of the quarterly re forecast and annual budgeting processes
  • (Potentially longer term) Provide extensive support to the internal capex committee through development of accurate capex reporting and analysis, working with key stakeholders to ensure robust processes and controls are operating.
  • Ownership of the integrated business planning model, ensuring integrity of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow, and implementing improvements over time.
  • Take ownership of all investment feasibility models, and deliver continual improvements to these to assist key strategic decision making.
  • Involvement in many ad-hoc business initiatives; providing commercial challenges and analytical support.
  • Involved in financial analysis and modelling of strategic initiatives including potential M&A opportunities.
  • Provide support to CFO, FD and Head of Commercial Finance.

The Person

  • Qualified accountant with at least 4-5 yrs PQE (ACA)
  • Ideally experience of working with multi-dimensional databases (MIS tools)
  • Strong accountancy understanding across all primary financial statements, particularly cashflow
  • Demonstrable commercial skills, ideally with experience working in an FP&A function or transaction services teams
  • Evidence of dealing with senior management and working cross functionally
  • Exceptional proven financial modelling, analytical and presentation skills
  • Preferably able to demonstrate experience and/or understanding of multi-site leisure/retail industry
  • Able to self-motivate and work to strict deadlines
  • Effective prioritisation skills, and able to demonstrate flexibility in working practices
  • Strong people manager able to demonstrate successful development of team members
