The Company:

Brewster Partners are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk for a market leading Distribution Company based in North Sheffield with easy links from the motorway.

They are looking to attract candidates who will thrive in a challenging but rewarding environment. You will play an active role in the Accounts Payable Department and to assist in the systematic, disciplined approach to maintaining and improving the effectiveness of the entire Accounts Payable's process.

The Role:

You will also be responsible for;

• Dealing with high volume of invoices
• Posting and coding invoices with accuracy and in a timely matter.
• Reconciliations of supplier statements.
• Preparing supplier payments.
• Monitor/reduce unallocated cash on the ledger and liaise with Accounts Payable (Data) to ensure invoices are processed to enable the allocation of cash.
• Posting payments/cash to supplier accounts.
• Working closely with the suppliers to ensure ledgers are up to date and any issues to deal with immediately i. credit limit or invoice issues etc.
• Dealing with both supplier and internal queries.
• Sending out and chasing debit notes and returns.
• Assisting in the resolution of invoice queries.
• Working closely with Accounts Payable (Data) to ensure invoices are reconciled in time for the payment.
• Month end reports.

Profile:

• Must have had previous experience in a large accounts payable department.
• IT Literate on Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient on accountancy software packages.
• Must be Educated to GCSE Level
