Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified Accountant with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills to join this large Public Sector organisation.

This is a newly created role to help the organisation deal with the demands currently being put on budget holders/stakeholders.

You will act in an Advisory capacity to Senior Budget holders across the organisation. Your role will be to do a deep dive on the PNL for each area and look for "quick wins" in areas of cost savings.

Once overspend areas has been identified, you will work with the budget holders to ensure that this is corrected and assist with putting long term plans in place to reduce spending.

You will need to have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills for this role and love getting into the nitty gritty of the numbers and looking for ways to improve spending.

Profile

You will be a qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA

You will have excellent analytical skills.

You will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Job Offer

A salary in the range of £40,000 - £42,000 per annum
