Our flight support businesses provide specialist on-airport support services, including refuelling and ground handling, to the owners and operators of private, business, military and commercial aircraft.

The group companies operate from more than 400 individual locations on five continents.

Working within the Group Finance team and reporting to the Senior Group Financial and Technical Reporting Manager this role will be responsible for delivering group technical reporting through all cycles and maintaining full ownership of the group consolidation system.

Key Responsibilities will include:

+ Consolidation and reporting of monthly group management accounts and all forecast and budget cycles using SAP BPC as the primary consolidation system.
+ Consolidation and reporting of Group’s year-end & half-year external statutory reporting – including preparation of notes to the accounts as well as liaising with external auditors.
+ System administration of SAP BPC and key Group Finance contact for support for the business units in BPC.
+ Group oversight of the accounting for specific technical areas such as Treasury including writing technical papers.
+ Leading the Group oversight for statutory accounts compliance ensuring all statutory reporting requirements monitored and met across all geographies by liaising with divisional teams and Company Secretariat.
+ Providing support and technical guidance to the Central Management Accountant in relation to PLC accounting and reporting.
+ Responsibility for regulatory compliance for Group reporting matters (including, but not limited to, the Business Payments Practices requirements, and regular reporting to the Office of National Statistics).
+ Ad hoc projects will include involvement in any wider systems implementations and support for treasury or taxation related projects, such as corporate restructures/simplifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

+ Qualified Accountant – CIMA / ACA / ACCA
+ Ideally a “Big” 4 background
+ A minimum of 3 years PQE in a relevant environment, either in practice or in industry.
+ Preferable to have experience of multi-national PLC environment.
+ Good Excel skills and experience in ledger and consolidation systems, ideally SAP BPC.
+ Experience of accounting treatment for large scale and complex acquisitions or divestments
+ Experience of Group Treasury reporting of derivatives is desirable
+ Knowledge of using Caseware (statutory accounts production tool) is desirable
