An exceptional opportunity for a high calibre Finance Director has arisen within a leading high growth construction business.
Reporting to the MD, the FD will be responsible for enabling finance to fully engage with operational management to help drive business growth and performance. Your professional accounting qualification and track record in financial controls will provide peace of mind on financial governance and enable you to develop meaningful and insightful management information for the business to act upon.
Your responsibilities will include:

Your responsibilities will include:
- Direct responsibility for the business's management accounting and statutory reporting and budgeting processes
- Analysis of monthly results, forecasts and variance reporting
- Developing and improving the performance of the business's finance function
- Managing the system of risk assessment and reporting to Senior Leadership Team
- Further develop the internal controls and the compliance and enforcement regimes around them
- Maintaining the policies and procedures
- Working with the External Auditors to develop control systems across the business to satisfy both internal and external audit requirements.
- ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA qualification
- Strong business partnering skills; the ability to provide strategic, analytical and operational support right across an organisation
- Strong team mentoring and developing experience
- Well-rounded finance skills - an understanding of accounting standards, tax and the importance of strong controls and processes
- The ability to interpret data, quickly pick up on trends and build financial models
- Excellent communication and questioning skills, with the authority and credibility to work at board level
- Comfortable being hands on, but able to take an aerial view of the wider business
- Sound commercial acumen; judging opportunities on a financial and commercial level
- Your technical abilities will be matched by your enthusiasm and drive
