Interim Senior Reporting Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be partnering with a key client in the Chesterfield area to recruit a Reporting Accountant on a 12 month contract to cover a period of maternity.

This is a great role, working as part of a small team to provide financial and management accounts and technical expertise for a local UK subsidiary and deliver group financial reporting.

In addition to the reconciliation of complex Balance Sheet control accounts, you will be also be responsible for internal and external SOX management, reporting and audit, calculation of indirect taxes and national statistics survey. Ad hoc requests for analysis, project support including lease accounting, updates to accounting standards and driving system and process improvements will also form a good proportion of the role.

This is a great opportunity for a positive and inquisitive individual looking for a role with the opportunity to step up and deputise for the Finance Manager whilst adding real value through process and control improvements.

Our client is looking for a Qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/ACCA, with 1-2 years PQE, strong technical accounting knowledge and a history of recognising issues and driving improvements across financial reporting and ERP systems, particularly JDE. Strong Excel and communication skills are also key to the success of this post holder.

This is an interim opportunity for c months, with an ideal start date in December 2020, but for the right person, our client is willing to look at candidates with a 1 month notice period.
