I have been engaged on an exclusive basis to recruit a 2nd time mover (ACA) in what is a newly created role for a growing SME in the UK. They have been experiencing phenomenal growth and are a subsidiary of a large, owner managed international business.

Reporting directly to the CFO and joining an established finance function of 10, you will provide technical accounting knowledge as well as supporting the CFO operationally as the business continues to grow. They are an entrepreneurial business and there are always commercial projects to either lead on or assist with. Duties will include but not exclusive to;

- Monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting for the UK entity

- Both Financial & management Accounting duties on a Monthly and quarterly reporting cycle

- Lead on bringing the Statutory Accounts in-house migrating away from the current Auditors

- UK Statutory reporting and Tax packs

- Assist with the production of the reporting pack for the International parent company

- Assist with the annual budget setting for the UK business

This is a varied role across Technical Financial Accounts, Management Accounts and commercial/operational tasks. You may also get the opportunity to supervise and develop some of the junior members of the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a cash rich business that employs over 10000 people globally but is still in its infancy within the UK. It is experiencing high growth and is investing heavily in the UK business, infrastructure and team. The role is perfect for an ambitious individual that wants to broaden their skillset and push on within the business in the not too distant future.

The ideal candidate will be ACA practice trained and have already gained some experience within Industry. Exposure to SAP is also advantageous but not essential as is previous manufacturing, wholesale or retail experience. Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of building relationships outside of the Finance function and dealing with external auditors. For further information on this opportunity please send your details to Martin.
