Accounts and Payroll Assistant

A successful accountancy practice is recruiting for an Accounts and Payroll Assistant to join their small, friendly team. This role will be based in Malton, North Yorkshire and would suit individuals looking for flexible working hours (circa 30 - 38).

The Accounts and Payroll Assistant will be responsible for bookkeeping, as well as processing weekly and monthly payrolls.

Reporting into the business owner, key responsibilities will include:

• Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
• Processing weekly, monthly and fortnightly payroll for various clients
• Supporting the senior team with ad hoc projects
• General administration
• Supporting clients with enquiries

We are keen to speak with individuals who have a strong understanding of accounting principles and who have previous experience processing payroll. Experience using QuickBooks accounting software would be advantageous, however full training will be provided.

The successful Accounts and Payroll candidate will be offered flexible hours to suit current commitments, as well as learning and development opportunities.

Based in Malton, this role is commutable from surrounding areas such as Pickering, Driffield and Scarborough.
