Head of Commercial Finance

My high profile and prestigious client is a multi award winning UK market leading E-Commerce/Technology business based in impressive modern offices in central Liverpool.

This highly profitable successful business has maintained its strong growth trajectory based on unrelenting product and market channel innovation and ongoing business infrastructure improvement to ensure its loyal and fast growing client base enjoys a leading edged, premium customer experience.

The excellent CFO will not compromise on creating a world class Finance function in line with the ongoing successful business expansion.

As a result, this newly created role has been created for a top notch commercially switched on graduate qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) to operate as one of the key direct reports to the CFO with strong exposure across the business with regular interface at Board level.

The brief:

• Proactive "business partner" to provide advice, analysis and practical solutions to achieve ongoing tangible improvements and efficiencies to business operations across all functions of the business - with a particularly strong focus on Sales and Marketing.
• Business and strategic support to identify and deliver sustainable profitable business growth through investment in innovative leading edged digital/e-commerce sales channels and development of both current and new products & markets.
• Review and proactive challenge to Capex & Funding requests to exploit and encourage positive new business opportunities.
• Provide effective coaching and development of Commercial Finance/FP&A  team members to encourage and support their professional development.
• Overall, to work closely with Senior Management colleagues, including regular interface and reporting to the Board, to "raise the bar" across the business and achieve the ongoing exciting growth strategy.    

Candidate profile:

The CFO is keen to attract a v high calibre Commercial Finance professional with a successful track record in a similar modern, fast moving, Consumer Sales focused medium-large company. 

The successful candidate will need to clearly demonstrate the following personal attributes - commercially savvy with astute business acumen and well developed business partnering skills, a confident and assured professional with strong managerial and senior level stakeholder liaison ability.
