Your new company
A fast-growing early stage health-tech business based in Oxford is seeking a Finalist or recently qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant, with strong financial and management reporting capabilities. The role will report into the Financial Controller and will be integral to future-proofing the business from a finance perspective, both in in terms of technical compliance as well as commercial visibility.

Your new role
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for supporting the operational running of the financial transaction function including prepare month end journals for the UK and US entities, alongside variance analysis and commentary. In addition, you support processes for the accounting treatment of FRS102 transactions, in line with year-end assistance for the statutory accounts preparation and audit related query handling. There will also be a requirement to liaise with external tax advisors on the Corp tax returns, including R&D tax relief. Furthermore, you will be expected to participate in various process improvement initiatives, assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to be an ambitious well-rounded Accountant, with strong knowledge of FRS102 or IFRS. In addition, you will need to be ACCA/CIMA/ACA finalist or recently qualified, which strong commercial acumen that is supported by sound technical accounting. Furthermore, you will have strong Excel and financial systems experience, with attention to detail and robust versatility being key character traits. Finally, you will need to demonstrate effective communication, team player mentality and manage your workload to meet tight deadlines.
