THE COMPANY:
This business are an instantly recognisable, and long running manufacturing company with offices based in Bradford. The business have been running for over 50 years and have now have multiple sites across the UK and overseas.
As a result of further growth, they are now looking to recruit a highly driven and ambitious qualified Assistant Financial Controller, who will report to, and work directly with the Financial Controller. This is a newly created role and would be the ideal opportunity for someone operating at the Senior Management Accountant/Finance Manager level, looking for the next step up in their career.
THE JOB:
The role will be responsible for the following key duties:
- Assisting with the development of robust Budgeting & Forecasting processes, involving key stakeholders in the Business
- Review of monthly management accounts and presenting key trends and issues to the Financial Controller
- Driving further improvements in month end information & analysis, reviewing postings and improving processes, including continuous improvement of recently implemented Standard Costing models
- Supporting key stakeholders
- Improving processes and procedures and driving these with the team and wider business
- Ensure robust balance sheet control through monthly review of reconciliations
- Managing the provision of information for the annual audit and tax processes
- Support for any ad hoc analysis required by the Business
THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will:
- Be ACCA/CIMA Qualified - Essential
- Have worked in a senior management accounting role, ideally within manufacturing - Essential
- Have advanced excel skills and a previous experience experience within financial reporting - Essential
- Be commercially minded with the ability to influence and engage with non finance stakeholders - Essential
